The Leavenworth Masonic Building Association (LMBA) is a 501(c)(2) - A title holding corporation for tax-exempt Masonic organizations in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Project 2011

The King Solomon preservation committee has taken the necessary steps to begin this enormous project.

PURPOSE

The purpose for improvements is to install an elevator and air-conditioning also to provide a source for funding at the Masonic Temple in Leavenworth, Kansas.

OBJECTIVES AND BENEFITS

  • Make this outstanding example of early 1900's Leavenworth architecture more accessible to the public.
  • Make better use of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Temple increase accessibility to the office spac: on the 2!ld floor, the banquet room and kitchen facilities on the 3rd floor.
  • Make the Temple more accessible for both private and Masonic gatherings and activities.
  • Will increase the accessibility to the public, professional service organizations and Civic groups for events such as wedding receptions, meetings, and other social events.
  • Can foster increased rental space of the facility, thereby increasing the economic potential for both the structure and Downtown Leavenworth.
