Project 2011
The King Solomon preservation committee has taken the necessary steps to begin this enormous project.
PURPOSE
The purpose for improvements is to install an elevator and air-conditioning also to provide a source for funding at the Masonic Temple in Leavenworth, Kansas.
OBJECTIVES AND BENEFITS
- Make this outstanding example of early 1900's Leavenworth architecture more accessible to the public.
- Make better use of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Temple increase accessibility to the office spac: on the 2!ld floor, the banquet room and kitchen facilities on the 3rd floor.
- Make the Temple more accessible for both private and Masonic gatherings and activities.
- Will increase the accessibility to the public, professional service organizations and Civic groups for events such as wedding receptions, meetings, and other social events.
- Can foster increased rental space of the facility, thereby increasing the economic potential for both the structure and Downtown Leavenworth.
